The IR job market softened in August from July.

The data continues to show an extremely fragile IR job market being negatively impacted by tariffs.

𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁

Based on our data and analysis, we wholeheartedly agree with the Fed Governors who held dissenting opinions at the last Fed Meeting and sought to cut rates.

Our view is that the job market is being negatively impacted by tariffs, which is illustrated by weak opportunity and lack of follow-through.

Our expectation is for a weak August Jobs report on September 5th, and that the data will likely put the Fed on a path to cutting at some point in the near future.
